Recommended Action
RESOLVED that the Board authorizes the Chancellor to execute a multi-year employment agreement for Deion Sanders to serve as Head Football Coach for the period December 22, 2022, through December 22, 2027, pursuant to the provisions of section 24-19-108 (1)(e), Colorado Revised Statutes; and
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board finds that this multi-year employment agreement is necessary to hire Coach Sanders in the position of head football coach in light of the prevailing market conditions and competitive employment agreement practices nationwide for head coaches in men’s football. This multi-year employment agreement is subject to the provisions of state law and the Laws and Policies of the Board of Regents.
