RESOLVED that the Board of Regents go into executive session. As permitted by section 24-6-402 (3), Colorado Revised Statutes, the board will discuss the following matters as announced and pursuant to the subsection listed below:
- (b)(I) personnel matter at CU system administration - President transition
- (a)(II) legal advice on a specific matter - update on process for revising Regent Policy

RESOLVED That the Board of Regents agrees that, having hired a president and entered a term contract, a presidential transition should not occur before the natural expiration of that contract.

STATEMENT OF INFORMATION:  

Whereas, Contracts play an important role in business relationships for the University of Colorado by holding parties accountable to mutually agreed upon terms;


Resolved that the Board of Regents agrees that, having hired a president and entered a term contract, a presidential transition should not occur before the natural expiration of that contract.

 

 

PREVIOUS ACTION(S):  

The Board of Regents voted to approve the employment contract for the president on May 2, 2019.

RESOLVED that the Board of Regents, having reached agreement with Mark R. Kennedy to transition the position of President of the University of Colorado, authorizes the Chair of the Board of Regents to execute the Transition Agreement and Release attached hereto as Exhibit A.
